Our Story

Coastal Pile Cutters, LLC was originally formed in 1996 and has provided our pile cutting services in the US for over 15 years. In 2016 Coastal was acquired by Padgett Shoreline Construction. As a custom builder of docks and piers, the sheer power pile cutting services fits well with their growth plans. Coastal's patented technology and assets now operate under the new corporate name Coastal Pile Cutters International, LLC.

Developing environmentally safe cost-effectively technology had been a personal goal for the patent holder and now company operation manager Jim Todack. With five patents to his credit, the Shear Power hydraulic pile cutting technology follows along with his desire to improve on older technology and methods by bringing a new approach to the business of pile cutting.
